latest episode of so you think you can dance, >> avery: i was, like...three when i, like, really started dancing. >> avery's mother: nervous? >> kind of. there's a lot of great kids here. >> i know, i know. but, i think you're made for this show.
>> avery: first time i stepped on the stage i was like, "ugh, i love it so much." and all summer i was like, "mom, am i gonna be on stage? am i gonna be on stage? am i gonna be on stage?" and she goes— >> geez, you're killing me, kid! but luckily, there was a dance studio near my house. i was like, "bingo". when she was really little, she's gonna kill me for saying this, but she had an alter ego, and her name was lady vadiga. and one day, she's off in the jewelry department while i'm shopping for jewelry. she was literally dripping with all this jewelry. and i have video of all this, by the way, if you ever need it. winkety-wink. she's like, "i'm lady vadigaaaah.'
>> i have jewels, [inaudible]. look at my necklaces. i'm lady vadigaaah. thank you for that. >> i think lady vadiga is someone still inside of her. i'm miss vadigaaah. >> i love it, and i kind of live vicariouslythrough her. oh, i'm getting emotional. okay. [audience applauding]
>> nigel: hello. >> hi! [nigel laughing] >> what's your name? >> my name is avery. >> and is this your mum sitting here? >> yes, she is. [avery giggling] >> where's dad?
>> my dad's working. >> working? >> you know, dance is expensive! [audience and judges laughing] >> yes, i do know that. [nigel and jason laughing] but right now, we're gonna love to watch you dance. >> okay. >> okay, good.
