carrie ann: i actually thought it was stunning. tempo wise you were fantastic. i'm still fascinated to how you do that, but what you lack was a connection to the musicality, the tone of the song.
who was eliminated from dancing with stars, peta: to me, that is absurd to say when you cannot, clearly, hear the music. i was really disappointed with the judges comments. musicality? that's pretty hard to teach a deaf man in week 2. nyle: we survived. we just move onto a new week,
we work our hardest, and give them what they want. peta: okay. nyle: my most memorable year was 2012, the year that i traveled the world. i was born into a deaf family. i have two deaf brothers. my mother, my grandparents, everybody in the family is deaf, four generations back. nyle's mom: i never taught nyle that deaf people are disabled. we taught them that you are who you are. you're a human being.
nyle: over 20 years i've been in the deaf community. i needed to get away to understand myself, and to know what i wanted to do in life, so i traveled without an interpreter. i'm not sure where my fearlessness comes from, but obviously it's something i've had since birth. nyle's mom: ever since he was a little boy, he's been fearless. he likes to try something new, and see if he's capable of doing it. nyle: this week my goal is to be fearless. peta: there's no, la, la-la-la.
it is: voom! voom! voom! voom! nyle: and i don't expect the judges to take it easy on me. peta: and don't lean on me, ever. it gets like, it gets this.
nyle's mom: he can do anything he puts his mind to. he did modeling, now he's dancing and he's taking off from there. what's next for him? maybe he could be the president of the united states. who knows, maybe.
